Covering the Cost
You can cover the cost of the graduate certificate with a combination of financial aid through one or more of the following options.
Many organizations offer professional development opportunities for their employees. Talk to your supervisor about sponsoring the graduate certificate as part of your professional development. They may also offer a tuition reimbursement benefit for employees. Consult your human resources office to find out if your organization offers this benefit. If you are a full-time Indiana University employee, you can receive approximately $4,000 per term to reduce the cost.

The Kelley School of Business offers a limited number of partial tuition fellowships. Fellowships are awarded based on academic performance, professional performance and experiences, personal achievements, career achievements, application strength, geographic locations, and organizational affiliations. Apply to receive up to $1,500 as a tuition waiver of $100 per credit hour.
Unlike loans, scholarships and grants generally don’t have to be repaid. They can come from the federal government, your state government, or private and non-profit organizations.
You can use your savings to help pay for the graduate certificate. If you do, ensure you still have money set aside for unplanned expenses. Talk to a financial advisor if you have questions.
Can I pay tuition in installments?
IU Indianapolis offers several ways to pay your bill: electronically, with a payment plan, by a third party, and through third-party access. You can find out more at IU Indianapolis Student Central. IU partners with NelNet Campus Commerce, so you may pay your tuition balance over time with a payment plan.
